USB Problem

MY EXTERNAL HARDISK ( WD) WHICH IS CONECTED TO YHE USB PORT WILL NOT SHOW UP IN MY COMPUTER AND IT WILL NOT START

Available physical memory: 4000 MB

CPU: Intel® Core i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz

Drive Info:

C: 119,24 GB

D: 153,85 GB

Internet Explorer: 11.0

Your issue is unclear based on the information provided. What does "will not start" mean? Does it actually run? What is the make/model number of the external drive? Is it a WD Passport or similar make that has special firmware and security software installed? FYI, an external drive must have an active volume to show up in my computer. If yours does not, you can create a simple volume in computer management.

I have a WD external hardisk which I plug into my USB port, this has been working very well, but today the USB port do not work, what can I do ?
