DIY Tips: How to Make Your Own Theme of Wise Care 365

(only applies to v2 edition)

It would be a pleasure to see your favourite picture become the theme of Wise Care 365.

You know what? You can do it all by yourself! It’s easy & fast!

Let’s get started. :)

Step-1: Get the template files here.

1. Download the skin template files package here

WiseCare365Theme-Template-File-20130922.zip

2. Unzip it to a folder called “newskin”.

Step-2: Replace the pictures.

1. Open the “newskin” folder, you’ll find the following files:

(1) skin.ini

(2) skin.png

(3) frame.jpg

(4) MainFrame (folder with 6 files)

(4.1) checkup.png

(4.2) privacy_protection.png

(4.3) system_cleanup.png

(4.4) wise_utilities.png

(4.5) tabbg.png

(4.6) btn.png

2. Please replace the pictures above with the ones you have prepared for the new theme.

(The files with the suffix of “.jpg” & “.png” are pictures.)

This time we only try to make simple skin, so please just simply replace the pictures named “frame.jpg” and “skin.png”.

3. Notice:

a. Please keep your new picture the same name and format as the replaced.

b. The size of the picture “skin.png” cannot be changed. (97*62 pixels)

c. For aesthetic reasons, the sizes of other pictures can be changed but not suggested to. Only original size or minor modification is suggested.

Step-3: Modify the configuration file.

Please open the “skin.ini” file to modify the configuration information needed.

1. Name= (the name of your DIY theme)

2. Author= (the author name you prefer to display)

3. Comment= (introduction of the theme)

Hello,

Thanks for the tutorial but… for what version it is?

Seems to not work with "Wise Care 365 Pro - 3.1.8"

I tried some things, and first I wanted to extract original skins, mainly the "christmas-2014.wskn" that contain custom buttons and surely all others graphics, but without the password I do nothing

If you have a tip for this I would be really glad, the "custom skin" system that only load a picture is too less for me : )

Thanks !

Oh no… but then, why the *.wskn files work? if I can have access to the content of one of the "highly customized" skins, like then christmas-2014.wskn, or any halloween.wskn, or another skin file that contain all images names, folder directories and the important xml file I am sure that I can make my skin too no?

Like said before, theses files have a password, I can just see the directory with 7zip, but I don't know what is in the xml file, or the sizes of the graphics…

Thanks for the reply anyway, it's what I throught : )
