I have tried just about everything I can think of, but am unable to burn a simple CD or DVD. I've used 3 or 4 different types of burning software. All of them claim that my CD was burned, but when I re-insert the disk, it's empty. I have even tried swapping in a known-good DVD burner, but the results are the same, which leads me to believe it's a software issue.
Here are some other things I have tried: updated the driver, uninstalled then re-installed the device, ran "sfc /scannow" but no files are corrupted, and ran a couple different "Windows Fixit" modules from Microsoft. It seems I have done everything short of re-installing Windows, which I really don't want to do.
Any suggestions?
