In Windows 8 explorer how do I hide the properties pane - it is annoying because it takes up too much space and I never use it as if I need the properties I can right click a file. A large number of entries have gone missing from the add remove dialogue in windows 8. I have tried a few third party uninstallers which find one or two more but that is all. Most I have solved by re-installing the software concerned but I have sevearl pieces of software which were on time limited give away license codes and cant afford to buy these products. Is there any way to force windows to "rebuild" the add remove programmes list.
