I just installed Wise Registry Cleaner, but noticed in the Windows Start Menu that no uninstall option is listed (commonly done) (?)

    Thanks

Shauntest reacted to CMC in Cannot backup "Full Registry"
Cannot backup "Full Registry" and receive error message that the file at C:\documents and settings\ <My name>\Local settings\temp\fullreg.rbk cannot be exported, error writing file. It writes it the rbk in the temp folder but, cannot export/re-write it and deletes it from the temp folder. Have not tried restore backup and don't need to. But cannot export .rbk and save it as .reg?

It backs up the changes to registry when cleaning as they are listed in the restore option but, NO full registry backup.

The question remains, why doesn't it just write the backup as .reg file along with the other backups in the same folder and, why it cannot export it from temp folder to where the file needs and should be?

    Any idea? winxp sp3

    Thanks in advance

Another bug I've found is that the driver "Intel Graphics Driver" 8.15.10.1930 (display is shown as Mobile 945 Express Chipset Family in Device Manager) fails to download.

The top-right X problem seems to be already fixed in the last version, 9.15.589.

This also seems a bug: [bUG WinServer2012] Registry cleaner crash file association (click)

Problems of the current release (9.34.605):
Custom area: replace the scan button with the save button, to save the choices, because when I click the top-right X, the choices won't be saved.
You fixed this problem in release 9.15, but it returned in the current stable release
I don't know when this problem returned.
I'd also prefer its previous location (bottom-left corner). Auto-adjust columns (when double-clicking the column cursor) doesn't work.
I can't remember if this worked in previous releases. Tooltips don't work, when the "value name" and "key name" columns are "stretched" (i.e., always).
    They worked in previous releases.
I don't know when this problem returned. When I open WRC portable, %AppData%\Wise Euask folder is created (and it shouldn't create it, or at least it should create that folder inside WRC folder). Some entries didn't show the description.
I had got these three entries without a description (but probably I deleted them, because now I don't get them any more):
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{C79BA6D1-F7B8-4b87-A405-ED9DE29A8B6D}\AppID=
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{CEDCD345-8C2C-4928-B8C9-AE867372A7CF}\AppID=
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D1219BD5-B542-4ab7-82CB-C89DDA9F3768}\AppID= The register window doesn't show all the strings (but the tooltips work, at least).
    "Contact us" isn't translatable.
    If possible, enlarge the entries.

    Hi all!
I would like to see some new features of WRC:
    1) Regarding the installed version of WRC (scilicet the uninstaller version): DON'T REMOVE c:\users\user-name\appdata\roaming\wise registry cleaner\backup folder and the files in it.
    2) POSSIBILITY to select/tick/tap/check all found problems in a section and ignore them in one click.
Better: select part of the entries to ignore and ignore them in one click.
    3) POSSIBILITY to ignore all sections in the custom area (at the present we need to select at least one section)
    4) Command line parameter to defragment the Windows registry ONLY.

Please do as the following instructions and screenshots below,

    1. Please run Registry Cleaner---System Restore--click on the item dated with your issue happened---Restore

    2. Then run Registry Cleaner---Start Scan(only scan, not clean)---right click any items---click "Export to "---save and send the report to us for analysis.(Fonts only taken as an example)

Shauntest reacted to sgard in access to internet
this morning I downloaded Wise Registry Cleaner, and then ran the Registry Cleaner program.  There seemed to be a large number of "errors".  I then did whatever was necessary to clean up the registry. I went one step further which perhaps was unwise - I ran system Tuneup.

I then rebooted my computer, linked to the internet through WIFI and the indication after rebooting was that the computer was connected to the internet.

I then tried to start Google Chrome - and it would not start. Then tried to start Internet Explorer but received a Windows error message that the computer could not access IE. Hit the diagnostic button that came up and it was a Windows diagnostic that checked the internet connection.  After a few minutes the diagnostic asked me to choose the WiFi connection (curious  since the  icon on the lower right of the computer had indicated I was connected to the correct node, and the signal wa excellent)

I choose the internet connection and the diagnostic proceeded and eventually indicated it had completed the connection.  I was then able to connect to IE and Google Chrome.

This process took about 10 minutes to diagnose the problem with the  internet connection.

Its a pain in the butt and I shouldn't have to do this. Everything was fine  before I ran Wise Registry cleaner.

How do I fix the problem.???

I am currently running a dual boot system with separate operating system partition for Windows XP and Windows 7.  In the Winows XP system, Wise registgry Cleaner is my primary reg maintenace tool.  I have been been having a problem with my Firefox history files disappearing.  I have isolated the culprit to Wise Registry Cleaner 8.06.576.  Before I run the cleaner, the history files are intact and afterwards they are gone.  Any idea what's going on, or how I can prevent this from happening?  Thank you.

Shauntest reacted to UCanFixIt in WDC Update v8.11 to v8.12 Bug
I was running WDC v8.11 and received a notification that an update was available (v8.12). I was delightfully surprised that the downloaded installer auto-updated my current installation to v8.12 (instead of just downloading a new executable); however, it neglected to update the version in the installed/uninstalled program listings (remained at v8.11). Running Win 8.1, Update 1, fully patched with latest Win Updates.

I also rebooted (after the above) and the version remained at v8.11 (in the installed/uninstalled program listings).

I then downloaded the full v8.12 installer (manually), and ran it over-top of the current installation (v8.12), and that correctly updated my version to v8.12 in the installed/uninstalled program listings.
