I think you know everyone say windows xp shouldn't be used and the same is valid for firefox add-ons, by the way...

Try this: open a command prompt and launch:
for %1 in (%windir%\system32\*.dll) do regsvr32.exe /s %1 Then re-try to install the webcam.
