I thought I would have to replace the corrupted desk top icons and links, but ALL shortcuts were properly replaced, even in my Start Menu. Very recently, all of my shortcuts have been changed to Word shortcut with a code "box" which must be the sc description,. This happens to desktop shortcuts and all my start menu programs shortcuts and really every shortcut on my pc. Even when I try to send a new shortcut, it ends up the same way. In order to start a program, I have to go through My C drive to Programs and search for the .exe file for that program. I wish your associates could give me a solution to this irritating problem.
