Hi,
Your system looks capable enough to run it w/o slowing down.
@2GB RAM it will take 70% memory usage but yours is 8GB and with a 2.40GHz processor.
Your good to go. -
Yes, my C drive has enough space and far from being full.
Removing junk files for me didn't work. So I did the alternative given by the help options at the error message. -
for Code 80070002,
I don't know what happened but it seemed to be installed now.
for Code 13EC,I downloaded the .exe file through Microsoft Download Center as alternative.
It downloaded and installed the update with no error. -
Available physical memory: 958 MB
You might be using lots of resource.
Try using one app at a time and uses low resources.
or
Upgrading(Purchase) higher Physical Memory. -
Open Task Manager and go to Startup tab,
or
Wise Care 365: System Tuneup -> Startup Manager. (identifies more accurately)

Do you means you only need to click the button, then it will scan and clean automatically. (currently, you need to click two times, click to scan and click to clean)
Right?
I'm not sure it is a good ideas, I think most users want to check scanning result.
Thank you for your suggestions.
Right. I suggest there that a setting or enabler/disabler is to be present for users choice.

@Jayzx,
PC Checkup clean part of Registry Cleaner/Common Cleaner, contains System Optimizer/Privacy Eraser.
Only PC Checkup has schedule task feature.
Hi,
Yes I know, sorry for being confusing but I'm suggest that PC Check-up also should have auto-clean enabler setting without scheduling a clean, the same goes with Common Cleaner and Advanced Cleaner. For time-saving reasons. Will be glad if this suggestion would be recognized and approved. Thank you!
-
Can the PC Checkup, Common Cleaner, and Advanced Cleaner have autoclean setting or enable/disable, like in scheduled cleaning?

It just help speed up when using not restarting.
Yes. I did.
-
Understand.
I will report it to our developer.
Maybe they can improve the cleaner engine.
Thank you.
The 1 minute clean on windows junk files is now fixed.
It may have been a conflict with ASC that I used before, because when I reinstalled ASC the problem never occurred anymore.

Restarting my computer(laptop) is very slow. The shutdown process takes 15-20 seconds and starting up takes 1 minute blank screen before showing dell progress bar and wise bootup shows 60 up to 110 seconds. Before, it was a smooth restart with 46 up to 53 bootup. The fastest I got was 29 seconds. My computer is completely clean from any kinds of viruses, malwares, adwares and etc. I do a regular clean up with Wise Care 365.
Is it because there are lots of programs/software installed?
-
In each step check first if it is fixed before moving to the next number.
1. Check if the the wireless adapter is disabled.
2. Troubleshoot the wireless adapter.
3. Press Fn+F2 (or where the wifi icon is), if not fixed press them again and move to #4.
(Note: Fn(Function)+F2 is a quick wifi disable/enable that is only reversable there(based on my experience))
4. Uninstall your network driver for wifi and restart pc.
Regarding Astromenda, all you need to know and do is here:
-
Changes to what resolution?
-
1. Check for virus, malware, adware, spyware, etc. and remove them.
2. Disable some programs in startup, only leave enabled what you "really need" (eg. anti-virus)
3. Uninstall softwares that you never use.
4. Use Wise Care 365.
-
1, Open Control Panel->System and Security>Administrative Tools->Services
2, Find out Windows Update service, right click on it and click Stop to stop this service.
3, Open C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore, remove all files and folders.
4, Open C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, remove all files and folders.
5, Find out Windows Update service, right click on it and click Start to start this service.
6, Check windows update again.
Din't fix the error on update. Only those two are not installable, other updates are installable.

I have read them, and both I have done already and still can't update.

Jayzx: Five or six years for a laptop is getting on in years; HOWEVER, if the laptop still meets the needs of your friend, then nothing would be lost by, at the very least, determining the make of the hard drive and running the manufacturer's diagnostics, which are free, to determine if the hard drive has been damaged by the fall. Xilo's links also would be worth checking out.
Have a great day.
Regards,
-Phil
Yes, I will consider checking the hard drive.
Thanks again.

Was he trying to install another (Windows) OS?
tomshardware.co.uk - Solution for "A disk read error occurred."
No she wasn't. From her statement before it happened it was working fine with complete no problem at all. It just happened all the sudden.

The update errors are very annoying. Tried 5x updating with the same errors.
-I have used troubleshoot and wise pc 1staid but with same results.Error(s) found:
Code 80070002
Code 13EC
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 -446.2MB
Security Update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (KB2644980) -1.7MB
What annoys me is that troubleshoot and wise pc 1staid do fix my errors before.
What can I do?
