  1. Please post the event log for the DCOM error.
  2. Translated: Build too slowly to I do not understand your issue. Please provide a detailed description of your problem.
  3. Back out the recently applied updates to see if you can get your video working again. Once done, reapply the updates (one at a time) until the problem returns. Once the offending KB is identified, hide it or pursue a fix via Microsoft reporting channels.
  4. Agreed! Did you do anything that might have triggered these BSODs. Things like: Updated a specific driver. Applied a batch of Windows updates? Installed a new program? You could also: Check your event viewer for any associated criticals and/or errors that might provide additional insight.
  5. Have you tried running MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run.exe directly from your browser or did you download it and click to execute it? Seems like there is more to your issue than meets the eye IMHO. The recognition/association of the exe file association is inherent to the OS; therefore, you may be dealing with an active malware infection and/or the remnants thereof. Also, the fact that you have a pending repair "stuck" is also suspicious. Here is an MS Fixit for the .exe recognition problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950505 If the above doesn't work. Post your issue here to make sure you are and/or have not been infected: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/ Good luck.

  7. What program? Comcast Constant Guard perhaps? Please identify the specific program you downloaded.
  8. Translate: black icons chrlykov Can you upload a screenshot of those black icons please? It is imperative that we identify your issue via a visual confirmation because there are many causes for your issue; however, the recommended fixes are different depending on the circumstances observed.
  9. Translated: builds the selected pages to extremely slow What browser are you using? Did this problem just start? Please provide some background information leading up to when your issue started.
  10. Specifically, what happens when you try to open that webpage? Is it still failing because it works for me? Please be more specific in your next response.
  11. Check your BIOS to see if it being recognized as a valid device. If not, you may have a cable-related issue or your device may be defective (now).
  12. See here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/
  13. Translated: a problem with the Help and Support windows The above is inadequate to provide any suggestions. Pleae provide a detailed description of your specific issue.
  14. Looks like a custom vbs script to me; yes? So, are you looking for visual basic help to correct your issue? Have you seen this? http://www.tweakandtrick.com/2010/07/make-your-computer-welcome-you.html Need more detail.
  15. Regarding your Firefox issue, make sure you are running the latest version (26.0) and, if so, please follow the directions here to (hopefully) address your script issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-script FYI, certain plug-ins are know to cause this issue. Regarding your IE issue, I think a bit more detail would be helpful (eg, what happens when you try to launch/load it). Also, do you get any error messages?
  16. Understood... but it is the OP's responsibility to clearly identify the issue and he/she did not do it. FF was never mentioned and, since I'm not a mind reader, I assumed it was an IE 11 issue. Posters need to start helping themselves by giving specific details related to their issue(s). Moreover, the OPs second response would seem to indicate that I should have known that; whereas, some sort of apology (for not making that clear in the first post) would have been a more polite way to continue the explanation.
  17. Your second post should have been your first post. Since your browser was identified as IE11 and you made no mention of FF, how is one supposed to know or help you? Good luck.
  18. Use the Trend Micro Uninstaller here to remove all traces of the program: http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-US/1056551.aspx
  19. Hi xilolee, FYI, resetting to defaults will enable script debugging. The OPs problem is being caused by a poorly written script coming from the website(s) he is accessing. The only way to get rid of his issue is to disable script debugging so IE11 can ignore the errors.
  20. Your issue, related to the Toshiba USB DVB-T/Analog Hybrid Tuner, is unclear at this point. Is this a new install or is Windows Update trying to replace an existing driver and failing? Please provide additional details.
  21. If none of the previous suggestions have worked, you may have some component store corruption. To address this issue, you must run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt. This will takle some time to run so be patient and (hopefully) those bad or corrupted dlls will be replaced by known good ones:
  22. Since you stated that you have "tried everything", that leaves little to suggest without having to hear "I tried that already." From this point, you have two choices IMHO. Either tell us everything you have tried (so we can eliminate redundant suggestions) or specifically identify the make/model of the device you are trying to get working. We await for your additional information.
  23. ph01.exe is a proprietary data recovery program. If you have paid for this program and it does not work as designed, I would recommend contacting their support directly: http://www.corrupteddatarecovery.com/File-Data/ph01.exe-ph01-FileSubmit-1.0.0.asp
  24. Please idntify the specific make/model number of the drive in question. Also, please post a screenshot of disk management like so: Note: If the drive shows up as "unallocated", right click the view to create a simple volume and assign a drive letter.
  25. If none of the previous suggestions work, I would suggest you post your issue here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/ This forum specializes in virus identification, detection, and removal. A specialist will be assigned and he/she will walk you through the process.
