  4. Hi Try disabling the automatic internet synchronisation in windows and disable the automatic daylight savings adjustment, but leave the incorrect time alone. then shut down and restart the computer and change the time and date in BIOS. After windows starts check to see if the time and date has changed, if not switch the computer off for a few hrs and restart and check the bios settings to see if it has changed, if so, your CMOS battery is probably dead.
  5. Hi The 503 Service Unavailable error is a server-side error, meaning the problem is usually with the web site's server. It's possible that your computer is having some kind of problem that's causing the 503 error but it's not likely. Regardless, there are a few things you can try: Retry the URL from the address bar again by clicking the reload/refresh button or pressing F5. Even though the 503 Service Unavailable error means that there's an error on another computer, the issue is probably only temporary. Sometimes just trying the page again will work. Imporant: If the 503 Service Unavailable error message appears while paying for an online purchase, be aware that multiple attempts to checkout may end up creating multiple orders - and multiple charges! Most payment systems, and some credit card companies, have protections from this kind of thing but it's still something to be aware of. Come back later. The 503 Service Unavailable error is a common error message on very popular websites when a huge increase in traffic by visitors (that's you!) is overwhelming the servers. As more and more visitors leave the website, the chances of a successful page load for you increases. Restart your router and then your computer, especially if you're seeing the "Service Unavailable - DNS Failure" error. While the 503 error is still most likely the fault of the web site you're visiting, it's possible that there's an issue with your computer's or router's DNS server configurations and a simple restart of both might fix the problem. Tip: If resetting your equipment didn't correct the 503 DNS Failure error, there may be temporary issues with the DNS servers themselves. In this case, pick new DNS servers from my Free & Public DNS Servers List and change them on your computer or router. Contact the webmaster. There's a very good chance that the website administrators are already working on fixing the 503 error but you can always try to contact the website directly if think that might not be the case. The best way to find a website's contact information is usually through a WHOIS search, using the domain name (e.g. facebook.com) as your search term. If that doesn't get you an email address, the webmaster of most websites can be reached at [email protected], replacing website.com with the actual website name.

  8. In most case, registry problem is the reason to blame for this error. Registry is the most critical component of Windows that stores every data and configuration of your computer, every hardware/software needs to connect to registry to function properly. However, the everyday regular use of computer will keep creating wasted/invalid/obsolete that could dilate the registry and cause registry malfunction eventually, this could lead to system slowness and various system error including the communicator.exe error. Now you've known the truth, you can try to fix the registry error by cleaning up those junk entries and repairing those corrupted registries. There is another fact, however, among numerous computer users, most of them are just general computer users who lack of professional knowledge about computer and the system structure, so it is nearly impossible for many of computer users to manually find out and delete all these wasted/invalid/obsolete registries from their computer system, they will be very easy to result in the incomplete or incorrect registry fix, which will not only cannot fulfill the fixing job, but also create other further and serious troubles for the computer system. Therefore, it is recommended to use registry cleaner to help you accomplish this task: http://www.wisecleaner.com/wiseregistrycleanerfree.html

  15. Hi Plz try this: 1. Right-click the network icon in the system tray. 2. Select "Open Network and Sharing Center". 3. Select "Change adapter settings". 4. Highlight the adapter you are trying to correct. 5. For each connection item, select Uninstall (You may not be able to unistall all of them, but tht is OK.) 6. Keep an eye on your system tray icon as you begin the uninstallation and you should see the nasty red X vanish. Nonetheless, continue with the steps which follow. 7. Once you have uninstalled all 'connection uses' available to you, start reinstalling each one. Click Install. You will find that each 'use ' has three options: Client, Service and Protocol. 8. Repeat the Install process for each 'connection use'. 9. Ta-da, bingo and voila! 10. Now is a good time to restart your system and make sure everything is hunky dory.

  17. Hi If only some of the movies you're playing do not get sound it's likely you have a codec issue. A movie may be created to utilize a certain codec to allow the file to be smaller and more portable. However, in order for the movie file to be played in the media player it must also have the codec installed. Often no sound in the Microsoft Windows Media Player is corrected by adjusting the volume controls at the bottom of the window. Moving the slider from the left to the right will turn up the volume, if all the way to the left the volume is turned all the way down. In addition to the volume slider, make sure the sound icon is not pressed in. This button is the mute button and will mute the sound. If the equalizer is all turned down you may experience sound related issues. To check this setting, click View, Enhancements, Graphic Equalizer. Once the Graphic Equalizer is displayed, make sure all settings are at least mid way. Verify your sound settings are correct. When other software programs are installed it's possible for the programs to incorrectly adjust your sound settings causing issues with your sound. If you continue to experience issues, you may want to consider reinstalling or updating the Windows Media player on your computer.

  23. An unresponsive mouse cursor indicates a temporary or permanent system crash, assuming the mouse is OK, its connector isn't loose, or its battery hasn't died. Possible causes of a crash include overloaded RAM or an overheated internal component. You can take steps to resolve the problem in the short term, and if it recurs, some clues will help you troubleshoot the problem. Unfreezing The Cursor The cursor can freeze when the CPU or RAM is overloaded. In some such cases the freeze is momentary, and then normal operation resumes. If the cursor remains unresponsive after several minutes, hit "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" together to bring up a menu of options. From here you can open the Task Manager to check CPU and RAM status, log off, or restart the PC. If no menu appears, then Windows itself has crashed. You will have to restart the computer using the power button, and any unsaved work will be lost. Possible Causes If either the CPU or memory is overloaded, it may be that too many applications are running at once or the programs and files the computer is handling are too much for it to cope with. A freeze can also be caused by a malfunctioning program or plug-in, or by a damaged, incorrectly attached, or overheated hardware component. If the frozen cursor issue first appeared soon after a new software program or hardware device was added to the system, that's a good place to begin troubleshooting. Software Troubleshooting If the mouse cursor always freezes while performing a specific operation or when viewing a specific website, then it's likely that the application or Web page in question is either badly coded, corrupted, or too intensive for your computer to handle. Try reinstalling the suspect program or viewing the questionable website in a different browser to see if this eliminates the issue. If the freeze appears to happen at random in a variety of applications, the Windows registry or the system settings may be damaged. Try repairing the operating system using the original DVD or by running a registry repair tool. Hardware Troubleshooting If one particular hardware device is causing the system crash, it is likely to freeze at the same point each time (e.g. when you are plugging a printer into your PC). Try downloading and installing the latest firmware and drivers from the manufacturer's website. You can also download and install the latest drivers for your keyboard and mouse. If the cursor freezes at apparently random times, a malfunctioning, incorrectly seated or overheating component may be the cause. Possible candidates include the CPU, the memory and the graphics card. Open the computer's case to check that all components are attached correctly.
