    Forum Rules

Welcome to the WiseCleaner.com Forums! In order to keep the forums running well, please follow these simple rules for the forums. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact us support@wisecleaner.com. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning (see policing below). Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed. Do not use your signature to link to pages that contain objectionable material. This includes, warez, cracks, pornography, pyramid schemes, referral ID's, ebay listings and requesting personal donations. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic. Examples of bad subjects include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good subjects include; "Getting an TABLE FULL error upon login", "Cannot restore a backup", etc. Members are welcome to use the test forum for general "test purposes". These may include checking signatures, testing a link or image, etc. (subject to previous points on decency, warez, etc.). Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes offering hosting services (charged and free), installation services, solicitation etc. Recruiting members for your own projects (moderators, designers, professional MOD work, etc.) is not permitted and is also considered spam. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. See specific item on spam and 3rd party linking for more information. Members are asked to not disclose to any 3rd party, board, or list any vulnerabilities in WiseCleaner before first notifying the developers. You should submit all finds to us. Time should be allowed for us, at least 3 working days wherever possible, to respond. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. Please note that currently any very first post is automatically placed in the moderation queue and will be approved/disapproved according to the present Rules. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users. No content, or advice or requests for assistance, relating to any activity that the moderators consider to be illegal or offensive will be tolerated. Please refrain from using CAPITALIZATIONS in the topic title or when participating in threads because they will not attract attention - instead it will annoy many of the WiseCleaner Forum members. Very often we see meaningless subjects in topic title. They give no clue of what the posts are all about. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.

Hello all members, The "Mark Solved" option has been activated in the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board. Now originating posters (OPs) can select their own "Best Answer." How it works: Each member response to an originating poster's issue will now include a "Mark Solved" button that can only be seen by the OP (see image1). If a specific response solves the OPs issue, he/she can simply click the Mark Solved button for that specific response and it will automatically do two things: 1. It will update the index to show the OPs issue as "Answered." (see image2) 2. It will add the "Best Answer" to the top of the OPs post. (see image3) This new feature could really benefit members or guests that are looking for solutions while browsing or searching the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board. Note: The Wise Specific Product Boards do not have this feature enabled. UCanFixit

    A useful information

To all and new members. It will help us incredibly much if you describe what operating system you have and perhaps its hardware. You can do it in 'Signature' box. Here is how: 1. Top right click on your name. 2. Select 'My Settings'. 3. 'Signature' on the left (center) In this way we can better take us to the 'root' of the problem and then solve it faster. Thank you in advance

It seems QIHOO 360 Internet Security now (it was "now" in 2015) "gets a new name – 360 Total Security Essential". Usually the "internet security" suites are antivirus + firewall. It seems the firewall used by QIHOO is the one provided by GlassWire. Therefore: maybe are you using two firewalls? (QIHOO's and microsoft's) Try to disable temporarily qihoo, just five minutes, and try to navigate (on safe websites, obviously you shouldn't navigate on unsafe ones). Are you using windows 7? 8? 8.1? 10? x64 or x86?

YouTube only allows users to watch and view videos on their website. Many users want to download their favorite videos to their computer so they can watch them without being connected to the Internet or so they can watch them on other devices. Below are the steps required for downloading and watching YouTube videos on your computer for free. Go to http://www.wisevideosuite.com to download Wise Video Downloader. Open any YouTube video page and copy the URL of the video you want to download. Once this address has been copied, paste that URL into the URL bar and click the Download button. Of course if you want to play the videos downloaded in multiple devices like your PC, your pad or smart phone. You are gonna need to convert them into different formats that is playable on these devices. Then the Convert feature comes in handy. It is a link to Wise Video Converter, which you can also download from http://www.wisevideosuite.com. The best thing about this converter is you don’t have to choose which format you need to convert into. Just drag and drop the video files to the corresponding big icons of devices, and then click Convert. Notice: Not all the videos can be downloaded by Wise Video Downloader. Statistics show that more than 80% of the video files can be downloaded by this software. Please keep this software updated. By default, Wise Video Downloader will download the 1280*720 pixel video.

Hello, I have some files and folders in th exclusion list yet the files are continually quarantined by the software. Registry cleaning bug with 5.1.4.504

I updated to the new version today and immediately noticed a bug with the registry cleaner. When it scans for errors it only scans the top item in the list, see attached screen shot. When it scans via the system check-up it does seem to scan the entire registry. Note in the pic how only the top item has a green checkmark, none of the others do.

    Editing .rbk file

Hello! I have a registry key that I just can't delete, no matter if I take ownership. I tried just anything. My plan was now to let WRC make a backup in the form of an .rbk file and simply delete the key there and then re-import the .rbk file and thus overwrite the old registry. Unfortunately the .rbk file is not human readable. Does anybody have any idea how to let WRC do what I want? Thank you for the help!

Instead of buying a new computer, adding RAM is often the most cost-effective upgrade you can make to speed up a sluggish computer. You may see a lot of similar articles on the internet, but they all seem a little bit complicated for normal users. Follow the next easy steps to upgrade your RAM: 1. Check how many memory slots the motherboard has Most computer motherboards have two, three, or four memory slots. Some higher end motherboards have as many as six, or possibly even eight memory slots. This is the total number of slots available. Unless you are using a very old computer, you will have to change the RAM. If there is one more slot for adding one memory, you don’t have to reinstall the system. 2. Find Out the Maximum RAM Capacity for Your System Determine if Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. Download Wise Care 365, click Hardware Overview in System Monitor, you will see the info of your operating system. 32-bit can support up to 4 GB of RAM. In fact, 32-bit Windows is limited to accessing 3.2GB of that 4GB). 64-bit can support up to 128 GB of RAM or even more than that. 3. Find Out the maximum RAM capacity for your mainboard In Wise Care 365, check the Mainboard in System Monitor, you will see your mainboard type. Google it to find the spec of it. You will see the maximum RAM capacity for your mainboard. 4. Find out the right type of RAM for your computer Call me preachy but please first know if you are buying a RAM for your laptop or desktop. In most cases, they are different. Most motherboards accept only one type of RAM, if you're buying new RAM, you're probably going to make your life a lot easier by buying the exact same model as you currently have in your machine, but they don’t have to be the same brand. Check the Memory info in System Monitor and buy the RAM that has the same speed and memory type so that it will be compatible with your computer.

"Out of virtual memory" is one of the Windows annoying errors. Usually your PC starts freezing first. Then an error appears and tells you that your virtual memory is too low. In this article we are going to explain what causes this error and how to fix it . Note: Typically, this low virtual memory problem happens in an old computer. What is virtual memory? Virtual memory, also known as page file or swap file, is a file on your hard disk that Windows uses in addition to physical memory (RAM) whenever the need arises. For example, when you are running an application or a process your RAM can’t handle, virtual memory is there to help. Usually the page file is 1.5 times the amount of physical memory. Why does the "low on virtual memory" error occur? There are two things that usually cause this error: 1. You don’t have enough RAM; 2. An application on your computer is buggy and is causing a memory leak. How to fix it? Getting rid of this error is not too difficult, especially if it happens because your computer doesn’t have enough RAM. If that’s the case, all you need to do is add more physical memory to speed up computer performance. If you can’t do it immediately, you can increase the size of the page file. Here’s how to do it: Right-click on My Computer and go to Properties. Click on the Advanced tab (or Advanced system settings link if you are using Windows 7 or Vista) and then click on the Settings button in the Performance section. A new window will open. Go to the Advanced tab. Find the Virtual memory section and click on the Change button. Select the System managed size option or manually change the size of the page file. Click OK. It might just be the case that your computer needs more real, physical memory. By this I mean RAM sticks that can be purchased in most computer, electronics, or office supply stores. If your PC is more than three years old, chances are it's close to being obsolete -- at least in terms of the ability to run today's resource-hogging software packages. And adding RAM to an older computer is the most effective thing you can do to upgrade it. However, if the error is caused by a buggy application, you’ll first need to identify the culprit. To do that, open the Task Manager (press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard) and go to the Processes tab. Then click on View –> Select Columns. Check the Virtual Memory Size (in Windows 7 choose Commit Size) checkbox and click OK. Now the Task Manager will be showing how much virtual memory each application is using. If you click on the VM Size or Commit Size column name twice, the processes will be sorted based on how much virtual memory they are using, from largest to smallest. You will instantly see which process in the most hungry one. Then you’ll need to find the application that’s running the process. Now that you know which program is causing low virtual memory, you can try to fix it. First of all try updating the software – usually updates fix bugs like that. If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the application. If that doesn’t work either, contact the software support team and search the Internet for that particular software problem.

Some users may encounter this kind of problem: For example, you added a 2 GB DDR3 RAM to the windows 7 laptop which has only 2 GB of RAM( also DDR3 of course). After you properly installed the new RAM, you check the property of computer, it still shows you only have 2GB RAM instead of 4GB. Here is one solution: 1: Click Start menu, inside search field type msconfig and press Enter 2: Choose Boot tab 3: Click on the Advanced Options button 4: Once new window open check the field Maximum memory 5: To save your changes click OK and restart your computer Next time when you run your computer, from your desktop Right mouse click on My Computer and choose Properties. From here you can see whether your Windows 7 now uses maximum available RAM.

Sometimes the monitor widget shows up on my desktop, other times not. If it does show and I try to move it left, right, up or down via dragging, it disappears entirely. I've not experienced any similarly odd behavior from any other software or program on my computer.

Temp and RAM available widget disappeared from desktop. I am running Wise Care 365 Pro on four computers. Three are W8.1 Updated and one is W7-SP1. When I initially installed 3.x Beta Pro the Temp and RAM available widget appeared on the desktop of all four computers. While I was running Wise Care 365 Pro 3.05.256 the widget disappeared from two of my three W8.1 Updated computers. This happened somtime around when I updated the Intel graphics driver on my W8.1 Updated computers. The widget remained on the desktop of one of my W8.1 Updated computers on which I also updated the Intel graphics driver The Widget has also remained on the desktop of my W7-SP1 computer which is an older AMD computer. When I updated to v3.07.258 nothing changed. I even tried an uninstall of 3.05.256 and followed by an install of 3.07.258 on one of the W8.1 Updated computers where the widget had disappeared. No change. All three W8.1 Updated computers are Intel i5 and have the latest Intel graphics drivers installed. On the two computers where the widget disappeared I have the following settings for my main monitor 1. Resolution 1680 x 1050 Text = Small 2. Resolution 1920 x 1080 (Recommended) Text = Medium On the one W8.1 Updated where the widget remains the display settings are 1. Resolution 1920 x 1080 (Recommended) Text Small Note: No problem with seeing the Jet Search widget on any of the four computers.
